Sometimes we need extra help and feel that we cant go through an experience like this by ourselves or dont want to open up to other people close to us. There are many other support services to help children, adolescence and adults deal with death.
Support Groups - Adelaide & SA.
Star Bear (Anglicare & Flinders University).
Star Bear is a support program for children who have lost a family member, friend or loved one. There are weekend camps children can attend with games and activities as well as counselling and a remembrance ceremony.

SIDSandKids
SIDSandKids is an organisation particularly for families who have lost a baby to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). They offer counselling, crisis intervention, support groups and they hold an annual memorial service. They also have an indigenous counsellor to meet the needs of Aboriginal & Torres Straight Island families.

Compassionate Friends Inc.
A support group for families who have lost a child. They offer monthly support groups, telephone support, resources a Christmas candlelight service and recognise International Children's Memorial Day. They are not a professional counselling service, but a support group for and of bereaved parents and families.

Margaret Wild Jenny Angel.
The story of a young girl coping with the illness and death of her younger brother. A beautiful & honest book to help children understand their emotions and express them.
E.B. White Charlotte's Web.
A beautiful story of a young girl, her pet pig, Wilbur & a very clever spider named Charlotte. After being saved from the slaughter house, Wilbur befriends Charlotte in the farmyard. At the end of the story, Charlotte dies and although he is sad, Wilbur takes responsibility of her many children. A wonderful and touching story that demonstrates the cycle of life.
Margaret Wild Toby.
Sara and Toby (her pet Golden Retriever) have been the best of friends since Sara was very young. But Sara is becoming a teenager, and Toby is becoming an old and somewhat sick dog. This story is a touching tale of a young girl who doesn't want to accept that her life is changing, including the death of her oldest friend.

Jessie and James live on a farm with many animals, including a cat named William. William is very much James' cat, and when James dies, Jessie takes it very badly and ignores William. Eventually she grows to love William and the pair learn to love each other after their loss.
